General Questions

Yes – all of our boats offer space for passengers to bring their luggage on-board. There is sufficient space available on our boats. If you are bringing substantial baggage, please advise us in advance so we can make necessary arrangements ofr your private transfer.
Yes – the top open (outdoor) deck is accessible to all the passengers on board, regardless of seating type.

Yes – for all of our boats, we offer a private transfer to the corresponding pier. For the Guilin to Yangshuo Cruise, we offer private pick-up from your hotel in Guilin City whilst for the Yangshuo to Guilin Cruise, we offer private pick-up from your hotel in Yangshuo/Xingping. For transfers after the end of the cruise, additional fees apply.
Yes – lunch is included on all of the Li River Cruise boats. For the 4.5 Star Li River Cruise and 4 Star Li River Cruise – a Chinese buffet lunch is available whilst for the 3 Star Li River Cruise, a packed Chinese meal is available.
Yes – all Li River Cruise boats have air conditioning on-board.
For your information, after the cruise, you could take a public bus from Yangshuo Bus Station to Guilin Bus Station. The pricing of the ticket is 20 CNY per person and can be bought on the day. Otherwise, we could arrange a private transfer to your hotel in Guilin for you for an additional fee (this option is available to book as an add-on when booking Li River Cruise tickets).
​For your information, the Li River Cruise takes approximately 4 hours from Guilin Pier to Yangshuo Pier. The cost for the public bus from Yangshuo Bus Station to Guilin is 20 CNY per person while the bus stops from time to time as there are passengers getting off en-route. For your reference, the cost for a taxi from Yangshuo to Guilin varies due to the different drivers. We can arrange a private transfer at the end of the cruise for an additional fee.
​We will try to arrange but couldn’t 100% guarantee it as all seats are allocated by our computer system based upon number of passengers booked as well as seating availability.
​As shown on the pictures on our website, the VIP Section on the 4-star cruise boat is separated with the Upper Deck Seating Section by a door. Anyone else who doesn’t book the VIP Seating is not allowed to enter the VIP Section. For your information, there is no private room outside in the VIP Section. If you would like to enjoy the views outside, you could go to the top deck which is open to all the passengers.
​Yes, we could provide a baby car seat for an extra charge of 50 CNY in total.
​Yes, there is vegetarian food option and other Chinese food fried with meat, fruit and some drinks on the 4-star and 4.5-star boats. If you would like to eat vegetarian food, we recommend that you have lunch early in case meat drops into vegetarian food when other passengers collect their own food.
​The 3-star Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo arrives at Longtoushan Pier which is located less than 10 minutes walk from West Street.
​For your information, the 3-star cruise boat starts from Mopanshan Pier in Guilin and ends at Longtoushan Pier in Yangshuo. The 4 Star Boat departs from Zhujiang Pier in Guilin and arrives at Shuidongmen Pier in Yangshuo.
​All the upper deck seats face each other in one row. Only the VIP Seating is facing the front with no other seats opposite. If interested, you could take the VIP Seating to avoid getting sick. As there are only 12 VIP Seating on the 4-star boat
There is a fixed area for the luggage on the boat and all luggage needs to be stored in the luggage storage area.
​There are approximately 130 – 140 x seats on the 3 star boat, 80 – 90 x seats on the 4 star boat and 60 – 70 x seats on the 4.5 star boat.
​The 4-star cruise arrives at West Street Pier – less than 5 minute walk and you’ll be at West Street (just follow the crowd!)
​For your reference, we won’t send digital tickets to your email but when you arrive at Guilin pier, our driver will be collecting the physical tickets for you.
For your information, the cruise ticket includes the pick-up service from all Guilin hotels (including hotels at Lujia Village) which are within 30 x kilometers in Guilin from Guilin Pier.
​If you would like some time at leisure to yourself (after the cruise), the easiest place to meet the driver is at the Amari Yangshuo Hotel (which is on West Street) or Starbuck West Street. Otherwise, if you’d like to leave Yangshuo immediately (upon arrival), the driver will meet you at the boat disembarkation point.
​As for the payment method, you don’t need a PayPal account to pay – PayPal is a credit card processor. When you book the tickets online, please just select pay by credit card. Otherwise, we also accept WeChat Pay or Alipay.

Reservations and Ticketing

A Reserved Ticket guarantees your seat on board. When visitors book any Li River Cruise, they will receive an electronic ticket which can be used to either changeover into a physical ticket or it allows entry.

If you have purchased a ticket for one of our cruises but would like to take another cruise instead, that’s no problem whatsoever! If the cruise has a greater value than the cruise you have already purchased you will have to pay the difference between the two cruises. However, if the cruise price value is less than the cruise you have already purchased we will not refund you the price difference of two cruises.

 

If you choose to take a different cruise there is no need to exchange your current ticket for a new ticket. You may use the ticket you have already for the different cruise you are interested in.

Child tickets are available for children under 120 cms tall, discounted tickets are available for between 120 – 140 cms tall whilst over 140 cms tall (regardless of age) is charged at full price. Infants or young children can share the seat.

Combos

A Li River Cruise Combo is a bundled package that includes a reserved-date Circle Line cruise ticket with another activity or activities, usually always on the same date. Different attractions have different admissions policies, these will be stated on your ticket

We sometimes offer discounts on certain dates – please check the Deals and Combos pages for more details.

Sorry but we don’t ‘bargain’ prices for our services. We are well aware of the pricing models adopted by a number of different companies and don’t plan on competing on price. We offer private cruise options (not join-in group) and if you’d prefer to join a group tour with forced shopping/forced additional expenses, which is obviously cheaper as the transportation costs are shared, we understand.

  • 1 x FREE RESCHEDULE AVAILABLE *subject to availability* to a later date from original date
  • Based on moving cruise date to a later date
  • Earlier Date request subject to availability and at discretion of Li River Cruises
  • If rescheduling is required, refund policy does not apply and no refund is provided in the event of cancellation after cruise rescheduling

​If additional rescheduling is required after that, 10% additional cost per change.

*The above calculations are based upon the total number of days prior to the cruise departure. For example, if you have booked a cruise for the 27th June 2018, an example of 3 x days’ notice is contacting us on 24th June 2018 (which is 3 x days prior to the cruise departure date). Time of contact and communication is based on Beijing time.

 

Boarding begins a half hour before departure. To ensure you get on the cruise at the time you are interested in, please arrive one hour to 45 minutes before the departure to allow yourself time to and make your way to your seating on our cruise.
