As at 1st March 2021, there are 2 x direct flights from Chengdu to Guilin every day. Lijiang Bridge, the Liberation Bridge, the Nanzhou Bridge, the Elephant Trunk Hill, the Fubo Hill, the Diecai Hill, and Jingping Hill in the City of Guilin witness the Li River for hundreds & thousands of years. When you fly into Guilin Liangjiang International Airport from Chengdu, the most convenient way is to rent a car to any one of these attractions as listed above.
Alternatively, you could take the airport shuttle bus to the Minhang Hotel, which is approximately 5 x minutes walk from the Lijiang Bridge. If you are staying overnight at the Shangri-La Hotel which is very close to the Li River, you could walk along the river at night to feel the soft river wind in summer.
