Situated around 40 minutes ride from the Elephant Trunk Hill, the unknown Shijiadu Bridge (石家渡大桥), another bridge over the Li River in the Guilin countryside features a much quieter surrounding to appreciate the Li River sunset. The sunset with the karst hills (if you are lucky enough, you may see local bamboo rafts running on the river) is a feast for eyes.

Mopanshan pier and Zhujiang Pier are also endowed with amazing sunset. The 3-star Li River Cruise big boat departs at Mopanshian pier to Longtoushan Pier Yangshuo while the the 4 Star and the 4.5 Star Li River Cruise big boats leave at Zhujiang Pier in Guilin for Shuidongmen Pier in Yangshuo.

Wanshou Bridge (Longevity Bridge – 万寿桥) in the Daxu Old Town overlooks the sunset across the Li River as well. Sometimes, there are ducks playing on the river during the sunset. The ducks add more vitality to the views of the sunset.

As the Li River runs to Yangshuo from Guilin, Yangshuo also has several spots to appreciate the Li River sunset. The section of the Li River opposite the Reflection of Yellow Cloth Shoal is one of the best spots. During the sunset, Reflection of Yellow Cloth Shoal offers great background to the sunset. Laozhai Mountain in the Xingping Old Town is another point. But to explore the mountain to admire the sunset is challenging and very dangerous as the road on the mountain is underdeveloped and there is no handrail.
