The Longji Rice Terraces Day Tour will commence by meeting our team at your Guilin Hotel lobby. The meeting time is typically 9:00 am but being a private tour, there is flexibility with start time with the possibility of starting the day earlier or later in the morning. When you complete the tour booking, please advise us your preferred start time and this can be accommodated. Visitors can also be picked up from any hotels in Yangshuo for an additional fee (+150 CNY).

After meeting the guide and driver, you’ll depart to the Longji Rice Terraces, which takes approximately 2 – 2.5 x hours drive from Guilin City. If departing from Yangshuo, visitors will spend an additional hour in transit. Upon arriving at the Longji Zhuang Village carpark, you’ll commence the meandering uphill walk to the Longji Zhuang Ethnic Minority Village. Featuring traditional houses and built into the side of the mountains, this village offers a fantastic insight into the Zhuang ethnic minority.

At the village, enjoy a local specialty lunch of the region (Bamboo Chicken & Bamboo Rice) before commencing a hike to the larger Ping’an Village. The walk between the Longji Zhuang Village and Ping’an Village takes approximately 40 – 60 minutes, depending upon pace of walk and number of stops for photography!

Once visitors arrive into Ping’an Village, the Seven Stars with the Moon viewpoint is available to reach (at the peak of Ping’an Village) as well as the Nine Dragons & Five Tigers viewpoint (optional) for visitors interested in additional hiking. At the conclusion of the Longji Rice Terraces visit, visitors will be transferred back to their Guilin or Yangshuo hotel to end the tour.
